International Conference on Power Systems Transients (IPST)

The conference deals with power systems transients. The home page contain sets of previous papers.

Download PSCAD v4.2

As a matter of fact, PSCAD is one of the most powerful simulation softwares in power engineering designed by Manitoba HVDC Center. It's similar to EMTP in principle but more user friendly and convenient. The capability of simulating power system's element such as Synchronous Machines, Asynchronous Machines, Transmission Lines, Line Breakers, FACTS Devices, Power Electronic Elements, Control Blocks and etc. has made it so popular for power engineers as well as students.
You can download the 15-node student version at PSCAD home page. You must first make an account and then download it.
enjoy!
